Idk man, I get the vintage vibe, but these cheesy posed pics feel so unnatural to me.

Dude, this pic looks straight out of a movie scene 😍 Modern buildings really killed this epic light show vibe at Grand Central. Miss the architecture that actually considered the aesthetics of natural light!

The title is partially BS. There are still moments at the right time of day and right time of year that direct rays of sunlight shine through the windows. It’s not possible to take such a photograph anymore, as indoor smoking laws inhibit the presence of indoor smoke/haze, and you need those particulates in the air in order to see a ray of sunshine take the form of a shaft of light.

We are a doomed species. Yeah there was dust in the air but don’t, for a single fucking second, act as if we have better air quality today.

I think with enough big floodlights mounted outside at the correct angle, still possible.

Yes, I know. I tried getting a similar photograph several years ago. It’s a good photograph, but not as dramatic as this one.

    7. Ah, it actually was possible for just a little bit recently when they did the demolition to build One Vanderbilt.
